With the aim of improving access to technological tools for learning, the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) has opened a study area in the library on the Floridablanca campus, equipped with four computers available for students to borrow on campus.
The computers are now operational and allow users to carry out academic activities such as assignments, research, and consultations, thereby supporting their educational journey.
“Students can now use these computers to carry out their academic activities. This initiative facilitates access to technological resources and supports each student’s educational journey,” noted Angie Carrillo, a staff member at the UIS Floridablanca Library.
In addition, these computers provide access to digital collections, specialized databases, and various research support tools available in the University’s portfolio of electronic resources.

“I think this is a huge help, because there are students here in Floridablanca who don’t have laptops. This allows us to access digital tools and do our work in the library,” said Vanesa Balaguera Guarín, a student in the Cultural and Creative Business Administration program.
The Floridablanca campus library serves the academic community Monday through Friday, with continuous hours from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
