The UIS School of Nutrition and Dietetics Promotes Healthy Habits and Leads a Culinary Experience as Part of the #VitalSerProfesorUIS Initiative

As part of the sixth activity of the #VitalSerProfesorUIS initiative, a live workshop was held in which three dishes were prepared to highlight the importance of healthy eating:

*Functional smoothie for energy and mental performance
*Jelly to strengthen the immune system
*Natural energy cookies, ideal for the brain

The event stood out for its dynamic, creative, and educational nature, helping to strengthen bonds among faculty members and promoting the acquisition of knowledge about the impact of superfoods on health.

The team consisted of senior students: Eimmy Dayana Carrillo Coronel, Deyssy Johanna Sánchez Rojas, Ludy Katherine Contreras Martínez, and Juan Diego García Penagos, along with Alberto Ángel Martín, director of the School of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Professor Ángel stated that “the UIS School of Nutrition and Dietetics reaffirms its commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles, nutrition education, and strengthening the overall well-being of the academic community.”

The event was very well received, establishing itself as a space where well-being, knowledge, and recreation come together in a meaningful way to benefit the academic community.

A recipe book featuring the dishes prepared during the event was also distributed.

This experience reinforces the institution’s commitment to promoting health and holistic well-being within the academic community.
