Nursing student represents the UIS in the International Scientific Camp of Research Seminaries

Cristian Camilo Pérez Carvajal is a student of Nursing at the Industrial University of Santander and thanks to his work he represented the UIS in the II International Scientific Camp of Research Seedbeds that took place in Juchitán (Oaxaca- Mexico).

There the student presented the results of the study ‘Relationship between academic stress and sports motivation in students of the sports teams of the Industrial University of Santander’, developed together with Angely Hernandez Lopez, graduate of the School of Social Work in December 2024, and directed by the doctor in Physical Culture Sciences, Lianell Jova Elejalde, advisor of the Research Semillero in Optimization of Sports Performance attached to the Group of Studies Body, Physical Activity and Sport (GECAFD), of the Department of Physical Education and Sports.

This camp facilitated spaces for interaction between the different research groups, promoting collaboration and the exchange of ideas between educational institutions and research groups, in addition to promoting discussion on innovative methodologies and good practices in research.

The endorsement to participate in this important event was granted by the score obtained in the presentation of the project at the XXVII National Meeting and XXI International Meeting of Research Seedbeds RedCOLSI, held last year in Barranquilla.

The Fundación Red Colombiana de Semilleros de Investigación (RedCOLSI) is a non-profit organization, which articulates with basic, secondary, tertiary and higher education, leader in the consolidation of a research culture based on formative research, research training and networking of research seedbeds, mediated by scenarios of socialization, management and social appropriation of knowledge.
