
Anna Kessler, a master’s student in epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, is conducting a research internship with the EPICLIN Research Group at the School of Medicine.
Anna is a physician specializing in Internal Medicine. Her research interests include emerging infectious diseases in Latin America.
During her time at UIS, her work will focus on data analysis to determine the ability of sociodemographic, clinical, and laboratory variables to distinguish patients diagnosed with dengue, chikungunya, or Zika.
The results of this research will be published in an academic journal, with authorship determined according to the criteria of the International Committee of Medicine.
