The Industrial University of Santander, through the Department of Public Health of the School of Medicine, and in coordination with the Secretariat of Health and Environment of Bucaramanga, is developing the Caregivers Workshop, a completely free training strategy aimed at strengthening, guiding, and accompanying people who care for older adults, people with disabilities, or people with chronic diseases.
This initiative aims to improve the quality of care provided, while promoting the physical, emotional, and social well-being of those who perform this valuable work in homes throughout the municipality.
The training program includes three lines of work aimed at the elderly population, their families, and caregivers, framed within the primary health care model. Through a comprehensive educational process, it seeks to strengthen care practices and contribute to improving health and well-being in vulnerable households in Bucaramanga.
