The Specialized Health Unit of the Industrial University of Santander (UISALUD) officially handed over an office to the Users’ Association with the aim of strengthening mechanisms for member participation and representation within the institutional health system.
The ceremony was presided over by the rector of the Industrial University of Santander, Professor Hernán Porras Díaz, and was attended by UISALUD executives, who highlighted the importance of creating conditions that facilitate ongoing dialogue between users and the institution.

The office, located in the basement of Building A at UISALUD, will serve as a hub for the Users’ Association’s activities, from which it will continue to advocate for members’ rights and work to strengthen a participatory healthcare system that is closely connected to the university community.

During the handover ceremony, Diego Hernández Velásquez, secretary of the Users’ Association, spoke highly of the initiative: “We must celebrate the handover of the office to the Users’ Association. This clearly demonstrates Professor Hernán Porras’s commitment to promoting the right to participate in the management and care of UISALUD. It is also important to thank the Administrative Subdirectorate for its logistical leadership and determined efforts to make this handover a reality.”
With this initiative, the UIS Rector’s Office reaffirms its commitment to health management focused on the well-being of its members and the strengthening of mechanisms for citizen participation.
