The Industrial University of Santander, through its School of Nutrition and Dietetics, played a prominent role in the 25th Nutrition Congress, organized by the Chilean Nutrition Society (SOCHINUT), one of the most important academic events in the field of nutrition sciences in Latin America, which took place in Santiago, Chile, from November 5 to 7.
In this edition, the School had a prominent presence thanks to the participation of Professor Sandra Milena Bueno Pérez, who presented a poster entitled: “Total phenolic compounds in plant-based beverages consumed in Latin America: A systematic review protocol and preliminary findings.”
This study corresponds to research project No. 4264, funded through the call for support for newly hired faculty, and constitutes one of the academic commitments fulfilled by Professor Bueno Pérez at the end of her probationary period.
The School celebrates and recognizes this important achievement, which reflects the institutional commitment to scientific production and academic excellence, as well as Professor Sandra Bueno’s valuable contribution to the advancement of knowledge in nutrition and food in the region.
