Researchers at the Industrial University of Santander (UIS) will be able to strengthen their Science, Technology, and Innovation (CTeI) proposals and prepare them for future funding opportunities through the course-workshop “CTeI Royalties: Develop Your Project,” led by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Extension (VIE). Registration will remain open until October 21.
The training will consist of six practical sessions, from October 23 to November 27, 2026. During the program, participants will develop their own projects using the logical framework methodology and will learn about the requirements, tools, and procedures for the General Royalties System (SGR) calls for proposals.
This initiative recognizes the importance of having well-structured proposals prepared in advance, which will enable the University to participate more effectively and with higher-quality submissions in external calls for proposals, whose application deadlines are often tight.
For this reason, the workshop is coordinated with the UIS Project Bank, an institutional strategy aimed at consolidating proposals that can meet the terms of reference for identified funding opportunities. Upon completion of the training, the projects will be registered in this bank through the SIGIIP platform. Subsequently, the VIE will support researchers as they refine and develop their projects.
In addition to addressing the SGR proposal, participants will explore intellectual property and knowledge transfer strategies for submitting proposals with partners, as well as tools for identifying international funding opportunities. Each session will result in a concrete deliverable that will contribute to the project’s structure.
The sessions will be in-person, every Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in the Multifunctional Room of the Bienestar PRO Building.
VIE invites researchers—especially those with ideas or proposals they wish to develop and strengthen—to participate in this training program. It also encourages research groups to promote the initiative among their members.
