This September 25, the Ágora de la Facultad de Ciencias Humanas will host the Teaching with Purpose Pedagogical Innovation Day**, an academic event organized by Misión Docencia UIS 2030, once again inviting adjunct professors from the Universidad Industrial de Santander to come together to reflect, share experiences, and strengthen their teaching practice.
The vicerrectora académica UIS, Dr. Olga Mercedes Álvarez Ojeda, extended an invitation to adjunct professors to participate in this event and stated:
“Dear professors, from Misión Docencia we have prepared a Pedagogical Innovation Day especially for adjunct professors. Through this institutional strategy, which supports our faculty in implementing the UIS 21 Pedagogical Model, centered on students, we have prepared, with great care, an enriching day for you to come together and share experiences.
The academic program will take place from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, beginning with an opening ceremony led by the Misión Docencia UIS 2030 team.
The program includes the lectures “The Challenge of Teaching in the Age of AI” and “The Professor as a Pillar of a University of Excellence; a presentation on the progress of the Classroom Climate strategy, led by Misión Docencia UIS; and the UIS panel discussion “Excellence That Endures, Education That Evolves, and Identity That Transforms”.
Finally, Professor Álvarez Ojeda stated:
“We are going to address highly relevant topics, such as artificial intelligence, classroom climate, our role as professors, and UIS identity; in short, all those aspects that help us build a way of teaching and supporting our students. It will be a very special day for us to come together, share, and remember that, although generations, technologies, and ways of learning and teaching may change, there is something that always remains essential: the mark we leave on our students. That is why we must be professors who support and inspire. Welcome, everyone, to our Pedagogical Innovation Day on September 25.”
