School of Nutrition participated in the Santander Food Systems Management Group meeting

The Santander Provincial Government and the University of Santander (UDES) invited the Industrial University of Santander (UIS) to the virtual meeting of the Santander Food Systems Management Group, an inter-institutional space aimed at strengthening coordinated work on sustainable food in the department.

During the meeting, the participating entities presented the progress and actions developed in the area of food systems, and progress was made in prioritizing joint lines of work for the year 2026, with an emphasis on sustainability, food security, and territorial coordination.

The UIS School of Nutrition and Dietetics was actively present in the space as part of the management group, through the participation of professors Alberto Ángel Martín, Ana Paola Mora, Sandra Bueno, and Ximena Lucely, who shared perspectives and contributions from their areas of expertise.

The School thus reaffirms its commitment to the technical, academic, and social strengthening of food systems in Santander through collaborative work processes with public institutions, academia, social organizations, and other actors in the territory.
