The Industrial University of Santander (UIS) proudly celebrates the recognition awarded to Judge Nathalia Rodríguez Duarte, a graduate of this institution, who received the Silver Category distinction from the Superior Council of the Judiciary. The award was presented during an official ceremony that honored the excellence, commitment, and career of the country’s outstanding judicial officials.
Rodríguez Duarte, currently the 20th Municipal Civil Judge of Bucaramanga, was recognized for her dedication to public service, her legal rigor, and her contribution to the administration of justice. The distinction symbolizes the impact that her training and professional performance have had at both the regional and national levels.
A career marked by judicial excellence
His career has been consolidated through an outstanding career in the judicial branch. He began his judicial career at the Administrative Court of Santander in 2004, an experience that marked the beginning of a solid vocation for public law. After graduating in 2005, he joined the Administrative Court, taking advantage of the vacancies created by the establishment of administrative courts in 2006. She subsequently held a position in an administrative court as a university professional, during which time she also participated in and passed competitive examinations for judicial employees and officials, which enabled her to obtain a permanent position as chief clerk of the Administrative Court of Santander in late 2009, in addition to passing the competitive examination for municipal civil judge.
Between 2013 and 2016, she continued to strengthen her career. She was appointed municipal civil judge in decongestion following the creation of new courts and her position on the list of eligible candidates. She was subsequently appointed to a permanent position in Bogotá, where she served between July 2014 and September 2016. That year, she was transferred to Bucaramanga, where she has served as a judge in the 20th Municipal Civil Court since September 1, 2016.
