The 2026 Ordinary National Assembly of the Colombian Association of Physical Therapy Faculties (ASCOFAFI) was held at the Mariana University in Pasto.
Representing the Physical Therapy program at the Industrial University of Santander was Professor Lyda Maritza Díaz Plata, who, in addition to actively participating in the Assembly, received an award on behalf of the director of the UIS School of Physical Therapy, Professor María Solange Patiño Segura, for her work as coordinator of the Northeast Node of ASCOFAFI.
The event’s agenda included reviewing and approving the 2025 financial statements, the 2026 budget, and the activities carried out by each of the Nodes. The results of the SABER PRO tests in Physical Therapy were reviewed, and the new ASCOFAFI board of directors for 2026-2028 was formed, among other activities.
