The Coordination of Comprehensive Health and Psychosocial Development Services for Student Welfare at the Industrial University of Santander (UIS) is resuming its ecological walks for students, an initiative that seeks to promote healthy lifestyles and strengthen mental health care strategies.

For the 2026-1 academic period, the activity will take place once a month and will begin on Saturday, February 28, with the destination being the area known as La Pared, located near the University of Santander (UDES).

The meeting point will be at 8:00 a.m. at the main entrance of the Luis Enrique Figueroa Rey athletics stadium. Warm-up exercises will be carried out there before setting off on the walk, which will cover approximately four kilometers (round trip).

The invitation is open to undergraduate and graduate students at UIS. There are 30 places available on this occasion, and registration will be open until Thursday, February 26, via the following link: https://acortar.link/m8KnLo

  • Eat breakfast before the activity.
  • Get a good night’s sleep the night before.
  • It is preferable to have valid health insurance or active membership in an EPS (Health Promotion Entity).

The hike will be accompanied by guides and a first aid kit will be available to deal with any eventuality.
