The relationship between academic stress and sports motivation in students on the sports teams at the Industrial University of Santander is the research project carried out by Cristian Camilo Pérez Carvajal and Angely Hernández López, which received international accreditation to be presented as a keynote speech at the first International Meeting of Research Seedbeds RedCOLSI Cuba 2025.
This event, which will take place between October 26 and 29 in Havana, will feature UIS talent in the form of a keynote presentation.
Pérez Carvajal is a nursing student, while Hernández López is a graduate of the Social Work program. Both have been supervised by Lianell Jova Elejalde, PhD in Physical Culture Sciences, advisor to the Research Seedbed in Sports Performance Optimization attached to the Body, Physical Activity, and Sports Study Group (GECAFD) of the Department of Physical Education and Sports.
This research project was presented last month at the Second International Science Camp for Research Seedbeds, held in Juchitán (Oaxaca, Mexico). The event provided opportunities for interaction between different seedbeds, promoting collaboration and the exchange of ideas between educational institutions and research groups, as well as fostering discussion on innovative methodologies and best practices in research.
