Rector Hernán Porras Díaz met with the community of Saravena to review the progress made in establishing an academic presence for the UIS in that municipality.
During the meeting, they discussed the responsibilities of the University and other actors involved in the process, as well as analyzing the timeline for the tasks planned to fulfill the agreement.
Juan Ignacio Cifuentes Santos, mayor of Saravena, project leaders, and the UIS work team participated in the meeting.
On Tuesday, a review was also conducted of the progress of the works and adaptations of the module for the Industrial University of Santander at the Rafael Pombo Educational Institution, where young people are expected to receive academic training from the UIS.
The visit was made by Professor Jorge Villamizar Morales, UIS manager in Territories.
