The 2000 graduating class of UIS Doctors experienced an emotional reunion. After 25 years of experiences, stories and a great journey, 64 classmates of that time met again in the new facilities of the Scientific Complex for Health and Life Sciences Research.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Olga Mercedes Álvarez Ojeda, Academic Vice Rector, Lina María Vera Cala, Dean of the Faculty of Health, Luis Miguel Sosa, Director of the School of Medicine, Jürg Niederbacher, Director of the Department of Pediatrics, Engineer Mario Andrés Betancurt Pinzón, representative of the graduates to the Superior Council and Fabio Andrés Salah García, President of ASEDUIS. Also participating were professors of the time, Dr. Luis Ángel Villar Centeno and Dr. Ernesto García Ayala.
The Universidad Industrial de Santander is proud of the progress and labor consolidation of its graduates. With great satisfaction for the Faculty of Health, many of the graduates of this promotion occupy positions of great importance in countries such as Canada, Ireland, Australia, and the United States.
It should be noted that four of the graduates of the class of 2000 are full professors of the School of Medicine of the School of Health. They are Professors Zully Ballesteros, Victor Mauricio Herrera Galindo, Silvia Juliana Orejarena Serrano, and Alexander Reyes Lobo.
