The Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) is currently conducting Abbreviated Public Call No. 007 of 2026, aimed at creating a pool of eligible candidates to recruit human talent that will support training processes for foreign language teachers in selected educational institutions across the country.
The initiative seeks to select professionals who will participate in a comprehensive training and specialized mentoring process for teachers of languages such as English, French, and Portuguese. The program is focused on the implementation of Foreign Language Interest Centers (CILE) within beneficiary educational institutions.
The call is being carried out within the framework of Contract 1400 of 2016, signed between the Ministerio de Educación Nacional de Colombia and the Instituto Colombiano de Crédito Educativo y Estudios Técnicos en el Exterior (ICETEX), which aims to strengthen the quality of language teaching in the Colombian education system.
According to the university, the pool of eligible candidates will make it possible to count on trained professionals to support pedagogical strategies that promote the learning of foreign languages in schools participating in the CILE program during 2026.
