At the Auditorio Principal of the Universidad Industrial de Santander Floridablanca Campus and at the Auditorio Luis A. Calvo, the forums for the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga will take place on March 16 and 18 with the candidates for student representation before the Consejo Académico for the 2026–2028 term.
It is worth mentioning that, during the session held on March 10, the Academic Council approved academic flexibility for students at the Floridablanca campus on Monday, March 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and for students at the main campus on March 18, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Following the forums held in Barrancabermeja, Socorro, Barbosa, and Málaga, the agenda leading up to the election day continues in the metropolitan area.
Cristian Díaz Franco and Ciro Ernesto Pérez Vargas will present to the student body the proposals through which they seek to obtain representation before the highest academic authority of the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS).
Cristian Díaz Franco, a Systems Engineering student, and Ciro Ernesto Pérez Vargas, a Philosophy student, are the candidates who met the requirements to run in this process convened through Resolution No. 0110 of February 2, 2026.
The election will take place on Thursday, March 19, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. online. At approximately 4:06 p.m. after the vote count has been completed, the name of the new student representative before the Consejo Académico for the 2026–2028 term will be announced.
