The Industrial University of Santander (UIS) has officially opened its academic exchange call for the 2026-2 semester, aimed at undergraduate and graduate students, both national and international, interested in undertaking an academic stay at the institution.
The call, led by the Office of External Relations, offers the opportunity to complete one or two academic terms at UIS. In the case of graduate programs, conditions may vary depending on the specific regulations of each program.
Among the key requirements, the university emphasized the importance of submitting all required documentation within the established deadlines, as applications submitted after the closing date—May 20, 2026—will not be accepted. Additionally, students from non-Spanish-speaking countries must provide proof of at least a B1 level of Spanish proficiency.
UIS also reminded applicants that admitted students must comply with all migration and health requirements necessary for entry into Colombia and the university. It also noted that some undergraduate programs have atypical academic calendars, which may result in variations in the start dates of classes.
Regarding academic workload, exchange students may only enroll in courses at the same academic level as those taken at their home institution. For undergraduate students, it is mandatory to register for at least three courses, two of which must be within their major field of study.
Interested applicants must complete the official incoming mobility form before the deadline. For inquiries, the university has provided the following email addresses: incoming@uis.edu.co and relext@uis.edu.co. Questions related to the Faculty of Health can be directed to egremed@uis.edu.co and escmed@uis.edu.co.
With this call, UIS reaffirms its commitment to the internationalization of higher education and the strengthening of global academic ties, inviting students from around the world to experience academic life in Bucaramanga.
