Students participated in the first regional forum held at the UIS Barrancabermeja Campus.

At the Auditorio Aula Máxima of the Sede UIS Barrancabermeja, the candidates for the election of student representation before the Consejo Académico for the 2026–2028 term — Esteban Yesid Puerta Corzo, Daniel Eduardo Naranjo Garzón, and Nicolás Fernando Martínez Sandoval — took part in the first of six scheduled regional forums.

This week, the agenda continues at the Sedes UIS in Socorro, Barbosa, and Málaga, where candidates will present their proposals and respond to questions from students attending the forums, as well as those joining the live broadcasts via Facebook.

The program will continue next week with forums taking place in the Bucaramanga Metropolitan Area, beginning Tuesday at the campus central and concluding on Wednesday, May 13, at the campus UIS Floridablanca

It is worth recalling that Esteban Yesid Puerta Corzo, an Economics student; Daniel Eduardo Naranjo Garzón, a Mathematics student; and Nicolás Fernando Martínez Sandoval, a Mechanical Engineering student, are the candidates in the process that will determine the representation of this sector of the UIS community before the University’s highest academic authority.
