With the signing of the initiation agreements, held last Friday, April 24, at the Auditorio Jorge Zalamea, the Vicerrectoría Académica UIS announced the seven proposals selected as winners of the OVA-TIC 2026-1 Call, marking the beginning of the development phase of the Virtual Learning Objects.
Selected Proposals

It is worth noting that the objective of the OVA-TIC call is to contribute to strengthening the University’s virtual classrooms, which support teaching, learning, and assessment processes through the design, development, and implementation of Virtual Learning Objects.
Tenured faculty members, adjunct lecturers, tutors, occasional faculty from regional campuses, special and temporary faculty, as well as occasional instructors from the common core cycle, are eligible to participate in the call, which provides a financial incentive to be executed through student assistantships, professional fees, or computer equipment acquisition.
Likewise, OVA production is supported by a professional team that includes a pedagogical advisor, style editor, Colombian Sign Language (LSC) interpreter, and a graphic and audiovisual designer.

During the session, after reviewing the general aspects of the call, the Vicerrectoría Académica UIS introduced Gloria Alexandra Orejarena, the pedagogical advisor who will support the winners throughout the development of OVA content until the production and delivery stages.
The activity was also attended by members of the ICT Leadership Team (ELTIC): Hernando Guerrero Amaya, Director of CEDEDUIS, and professors Ana María Loaiza Giraldo and Jorge Enrique Meneses Florez, faculty liaisons for the Facultad de Ciencias Humanas and the Facultad de Ingenierías Fisicomecánicas respectively.
The delivery of the Virtual Learning Objects developed under this call is scheduled for the end of the next academic semester.
