As part of the Faculty of Health Council at the Industrial University of Santander (UIS), the Santander Vision 2050 team presented the findings of Phase I of the project during a session dedicated to analysis and discussion with the academic community.
The event took place at the UIS Scientific Complex for Health and Life Sciences Research, where key elements of the assessment were presented, addressing topics such as demographic shifts, health, and the welfare economy, as well as structural inequality and urban-rural territorial fragmentation in Santander.

Subsequently, a participatory exercise was conducted with professionals from the Faculty of Health, aimed at gathering input, responses, and contributions regarding the issues and complexities identified in the assessment. This dialogue helped deepen understanding of the region’s challenges from the perspective of the health sector.
The event has established itself as a key platform for coordination between academia and regional planning processes, contributing to the collective development of proposals that will guide Santander’s development toward the year 2050.
