The journal Salud UIS maintains its Category B ranking in the preliminary results of the Call for Classification and Recognition of National Scientific Journals—Publindex 2026, a recognition that reaffirms the quality, relevance, and impact of its editorial work in the dissemination of scientific knowledge.
This significant achievement is the result of the commitment and coordinated efforts of authors, reviewers, members of the editorial and scientific committees, evaluators, readers, and support teams who, over the years, have contributed to the journal’s strengthening and consolidation. It also reflects the ongoing support of the Industrial University of Santander and the Office of the Vice Rector for Research and Extension, whose backing has been essential to the development and positioning of this editorial project.
“This achievement represents the highest level we have reached so far. Our next challenge is to meet international standards, specifically indexing in the JCR or SJR. I am proud that today we are among the top five journals in Category B in the field of Health Sciences,” said Professor Paula Ramírez, editor of the journal Salud UIS.
Maintaining this status reaffirms our commitment to academic excellence, strengthening scientific quality, enhancing the national and international visibility of our research output, and promoting the principles of open science.
Salud UIS continues to facilitate the dissemination of knowledge at no cost to authors or readers, contributing to equitable access to scientific information and the advancement of research in the service of society.
The Salud UIS journal team expresses its gratitude to all the individuals and institutions that are part of this achievement, who, through their dedication and trust, contribute to the journal’s continued growth.
