The School of Arts of the Universidad Industrial de Santander invites the community to enjoy the closing galas of the Extension Courses in Music, as part of the closing activities of the first semester of 2025.
The presentations will be held in person at the UIS central campus in the city of Bucaramanga, between May 31 and June 9. There will be six concert galas, where children, youth and adults, students of the Extension Courses in Music and the Pre-University Course, will share their talent and those achieved during their formative process.
The repertoire will include solo and ensemble performances, the result of the work developed in the areas of choral, instrumental and ensemble practice. Each presentation is a sample of the talent, dedication and artistic growth of the students.
The program will begin with the grand opening concert “Sounds of the World”, which will bring together the ensemble and choral groups of the Extension Courses in Music. This gala will be held on Saturday, May 31 at 6:00 p.m., in the Luis A. Calvo Auditorium.
The agenda will continue with the presentations of the student soloists, who will perform works from the academic and popular repertoire during four days: Tuesday June 3, Wednesday June 4, Thursday June 5 and Friday June 6, at the Ágora auditorium.
The series of concerts will end on Monday, June 9, at the School of Arts auditorium with the final showcase of the students of the Pre-University Course in Music, who will present the progress made in the areas of ensemble and principal instrument.
These galas represent a valuable opportunity to accompany, recognize and celebrate the musical talent in training within the University.
