Adriana González Quitian, professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the School of Medicine, presented the research paper by the interdisciplinary group from the School of Industrial Design and Medicine at SIMEX 2025, “The clinical simulation of the future,” the ninth international clinical simulation meeting.
The research, entitled “Biomodel for simulating emergency procedures in training on postpartum hemorrhage in basic centers,” aimed to teach critical procedures in code red situations in medicine as a teaching tool for education based on clinical simulation.
This project is part of a mega project at the UIS, an internal call for proposals, “clinical simulation program with converging technologies for learning primary emergency care in health,” funded by the Vice-Rector’s Office for Research and Extension.
The research involved the participation of Silvia Isabel Gómez Gualdrón, Jesús Alexis Machuca Gelvez, Adriana Inés González Quitian, Clara Isabel López Gualdrón, and Israel Garnica Bohórquez.
