UIS invites the university community, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and the general public to participate in the closing ceremony of the 44th edition of the Academic and Scientific Event “Entrepreneurs: Developing Business Initiatives,” which will take place on June 13 at the main campus in Bucaramanga.
The event will bring together nearly 1,290 students and around 650 academic and business projects that showcase the talent, creativity, and innovative capacity of students from the various campuses and programs of the Institute for Regional Outreach and Distance Education (IPRED).
For more than four decades, this event has established itself as an institutional strategy to strengthen entrepreneurial culture, promote applied research, and foster the creation of initiatives that contribute to the economic and social development of the regions.
Un escenario para las ideas que transforman territorios
During this edition, students from the Business Technology, Business Management, Agroindustrial Programs, and Pharmacy Management Technology programs actively participated in the workshops held in Málaga, Barbosa, and Socorro, as well as at the San Alberto Business Support Center (CAE).
The projects presented address needs and opportunities identified in their regions and cover areas such as business strengthening, social innovation, regional development, agroindustry, and the creation of productive opportunities. These initiatives reflect the practical application of knowledge acquired during the academic training process and the students’ commitment to transforming their communities.
The closing event in Bucaramanga will allow attendees to learn about applied research proposals, market studies, business plans, innovative business models, agro-industrial initiatives, and various entrepreneurship projects developed by IPRED students.
In addition, the event will feature students from the Judicial Management and Research Technology and Visual Arts programs, broadening the diversity of experiences, perspectives, and projects that will be shared with visitors.
Over the course of its 44 editions, Emprendedores UIS has strengthened skills in leadership, creativity, innovation, applied research, and business management. It has also fostered collaboration between academia, the business sector, and communities, promoting initiatives that contribute to sustainable development and economic growth in the regions.
Beyond the presentation of projects, this platform allows students to share experiences, validate their proposals, and strengthen fundamental skills for their professional performance. In this way, the Industrial University of Santander reaffirms its commitment
