With a recognition ceremony honoring the University, its longest-standing members, board directors, and staff, the Fondo de Empleados de la Universidad Industrial de Santander, (FAVUIS) commemorated six decades of existence.
“FAVUIS preserves the founding principles established in 1966 while looking toward the future. Our members are the soul and driving force of our Fund, and we also recognize our staff, who are its heart,” stated the Fund’s manager, Ángela Johanna Camargo Cáceres.

The Auditorio Magistral del Complejo Científico para la Investigación de las Ciencias de la Salud y la Vida hosted the celebration, highlighting the permanent support and contribution of the Universidad Industrial de Santander, institutionally regarded as its driving force.
Consolidated as an organization within the solidarity sector, focused on helping its members and their families improve their economic, social, educational, and cultural well-being, the leadership emphasized the trust, commitment, and participation of its members as the foundation of its growth

“The Fund emerged from the initiative of several visionaries and has continued to evolve. We have carried out many projects, including nine housing projects, and for the past two years we have operated as a business group. Every day represents a challenge as we adapt to different changes, and I believe we have successfully achieved this,” affirmed the manager.
Likewise, Edgar José Rojas Arias, one of the longest-standing members and a recipient of the FAVUIS recognition, highlighted: “It has been a wonderful experience, and I am very happy to have contributed to its creation, as it has brought many benefits to the university community. It is remarkable because it has contributed to unity, family values, and the overall well-being of everyone.”
