After verifying compliance with the requirements, the Universidad Industrial de Santander confirmed the final list of candidates who will participate in the election of student representation to the Academic Council for the 2026–2028 term, following the closing of registrations last Friday, April 10.
Accordingly, the students Esteban Yesid Puerta Corzo, Daniel Eduardo Naranjo Garzón, and Nicolás Fernando Martínez Sandoval met the conditions established in Resolution 0472 of March 26, 2026. These requirements include active enrollment status, regular student standing, completion of at least 30% of the academic program, and the absence of academic probation or conditional status.
It is important to highlight that the election of student representation to the Consejo Académico is a key process within the university governance structure, as the elected student will participate in discussions and decision-making on institutional academic matters.
The election will take place on Thursday, May 14, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. online. At approximately 4:06 p.m., following the vote count, the name of the new student representative to the Consejo Académico for the 2026–2028 term will be announced.
