UIS professor receives Award for Excellence for her commitment to coexistence and education for peace

The School of Law and Political Science at the Industrial University of Santander (UIS) celebrates the recognition given to Professor Carolina Isabel Montes Perea, who received the Award for Excellence for her educational project “Coexistence and Sustainable Development,” developed at the Claveriano Bilingüe Fe y Alegría Educational Institution and presented by the Bucaramanga Chamber of Commerce.

Education for peace and sustainability

This recognition highlights her commitment to the comprehensive education of students, school mediation, and the construction of peaceful and inclusive educational environments. Through her pedagogical work, Professor Montes Perea has managed to articulate the principles of human rights, justice, and education, strengthening the bonds of coexistence and promoting civic values within the educational community.

“Receiving this recognition is, above all, an honor and motivation to continue believing in education as a tool for social transformation. This project was based on the pillars of coexistence, respect for difference, and sustainable development as fundamental elements for forming citizens committed to their environment,” said Carolina Isabel Montes, UIS professor.
