UIS opens registration for Subsistence Assistance for mothers and fathers who are heads of households

With the aim of strengthening student retention and providing support to those who have family responsibilities, the Industrial University of Santander (UIS) will open applications for financial aid grants aimed at mothers and fathers who are heads of households. The registration process will be open from February 5 to 12.

There are 10 places available for this call, distributed equally: five for women and five for men. Students interested in applying must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a mother and/or father who is the head of the household.
  • The base tuition fee must not exceed ½ SMMLV.
  • Be enrolled as a full-time student.
  • Have passed a minimum of 11 credits.
  • Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher.
  • Be in good standing with the University in all respects.
  • Have no current disciplinary sanctions.
  • Not be a beneficiary of other institutional support.
  • Have a municipality outside the Bucaramanga Metropolitan Area as the place of origin and residence of the family unit.
  • Submit a current lease agreement or proof of rental.
  • Submit the civil registry of the child or children.

The registration process will be carried out exclusively through the institutional website, following these steps:

  1. Go to www.uis.edu.co.
  2. Go to the Students / Student System section.
  3. Log in with your code, academic program, and password.
  4. Select the path: University Welfare Services / Student Services / Benefits / Registration for Financial Aid for Single Parents.
