The Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) announced the 35th edition of its traditional Athletic Race, a sporting and recreational event that will take place on Sunday, March 15, on the university campus. The event will feature a 4-kilometer course suitable for walkers, joggers, and runners.
The race will start at the Luis A. Calvo Parking Lot at UIS and finish at the Athletics Track of the Estadio 1° de Marzo. The start time is scheduled for 6:30 a.m. for women and 7:00 a.m. for men, in an in-person format.
The event will include various categories, such as students, staff, professors, alumni, external participants, and master categories (ages 50 to 59 and 60 and over), in both women’s and men’s divisions. Registration will be free for UIS students, staff, and professors, while alumni and external participants must pay the corresponding fee depending on the kit selected.
UIS alumni may choose between a basic kit, which includes an eco-friendly bag, cap, and race bib with electronic chip for COP $50,000, or a premium kit that includes the official commemorative T-shirt of the 35th edition for COP $120,000. External and master category participants must also complete payment to finalize their registration.
Registrations will be open from Wednesday, February 4, 2026, to Friday, February 20, 2026, and will be completed exclusively through the official website.
