The Listening Center at the Industrial University of Santander (UIS) continues to strengthen spaces for guidance, support, and the promotion of psychosocial well-being across the university community.

During the first semester of 2026, this institutional initiative recorded 12,429 engagements through its various programs, highlighting the reach and importance of its mental health promotion and prevention efforts carried out at the Main Campus, the Faculty of Health, the Floridablanca Campus, and UIS regional campuses.

The primary mission of the Listening Center is to provide the university community with a safe space for active listening, guidance, and support that contributes to mental health promotion, the prevention of psychosocial risks, and timely assistance for situations that may affect overall well-being. It also facilitates connections with support networks and specialized services whenever additional care is needed.

To achieve this mission, the Listening Center implements initiatives focused on mental health promotion and prevention, active listening and individualized support, psychosocial risk identification, referrals to specialized services, and the strengthening of support networks. These efforts have established the Center as a key strategy for care and well-being within university life.
