The Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) is hosting from October 24 to October 26 students and professionals from different national and international universities as participants in the training workshop entitled “Characterization of materials of industrial interest using the Powder Diffraction File (PDF-5+) database”. This event is held as a preamble to the II International School of Crystallography: Single Crystal X-Ray Diffraction, which will take place from October 28 to November 1, 2024.
The event, organized by the UIS X-ray Laboratory, aims to provide participants with the necessary knowledge on the structural characterization of materials through X-ray diffraction techniques of polycrystalline samples. This approach is fundamental for the research and development of new materials with applications in various industries.
