Today, at 10:00 a.m., the first regional forum of the candidates for Student Representation on the Consejo Académico for the 2026–2028 term will take place in the Mario González Hall of the Library Building at the Sede UIS Barrancabermeja.
Cristian Díaz Franco and Ciro Ernesto Pérez Vargas will present their proposals to the students of the regional campus as part of their campaign to obtain representation before the highest academic authority of the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS).
The regional forums will continue Tuesday, March 10, at the UIS Socorro Campus, Wednesday, March 11, at the UIS Barbosa Campus, and will conclude Thursday, March 12, at the UIS Málaga Campus.
The second phase of the forums will take place in the Bucaramanga Metropolitan Area, beginning Monday, March 16, at the Sede UIS Floridablanca, and concluding Tuesday, March 17, at the campus central.
It should be noted that Cristian Díaz Franco is a Systems Engineering student, and Ciro Ernesto Pérez Vargas is a Philosophy student.
Likewise, the election for Student Representation on the Consejo Académico for the 2026–2028 term was called through Resolution No. 0110 of February 2, 2026, and the elections will be held online on Thursday, March 19, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
