Profesora UIS recibió reconocimiento por su contribución a la francofonía en Colombia

Edga Mireya Uribe Salamanca y funcionarios de la Universidad de Caldas.

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Caldas, in Manizales, awarded the professor in the area of foreign languages at the Industrial University of Santander (UIS), Edga Mireya Uribe Salamanca, a recognition for her valuable work in strengthening the French-speaking world in Colombia.
This was held at the University of Caldas as part of the Francophone celebrations held during March.

The recognition highlights Professor Uribe’s commitment to the dissemination of the French language and her ability to build cultural and interlinguistic bridges. Her constant work in the promotion of intercultural understanding in Colombia and her support in the teaching, learning and dissemination of French have contributed significantly to the enrichment of educational communities and the strengthening of international ties between Colombia and the French-speaking world.

From the UIS, we proudly celebrate this recognition that exalts the academic career of Professor Uribe, as well as her dedication to an educational cause that is committed to diversity, intercultural dialogue and internationalization. Her example inspires the academic community to continue building a university environment that is open, plural and committed to linguistic diversity on the planet.
