Bienvenida e Inducción Presencial IPRED

The Institute for Regional Outreach and Distance Education (IPRED – UIS) will hold the On-Site Welcome and Induction Day this Saturday, February 7, aimed at first-level students for the 2026-1 academic period. This academic and institutional event seeks to guide new members of the university community as they begin their academic journey.

The main venue will be the Ágora Auditorium at the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) in Bucaramanga. The event will also take place simultaneously at the Málaga, Socorro, Barbosa, and Barrancabermeja campuses, as well as at the San Alberto Student Services Center (CES), ensuring participation from students across different regions.

The program will begin at 7:30 a.m. with participant registration, followed by the opening ceremony at 8:00 a.m. The official welcome will then be delivered by Javier Alberto Pinzón Torres, Academic Deputy Director of IPRED. Throughout the morning, students will attend a talk on academic and disciplinary guidelines led by Carlos Alberto Villarreal Angulo, along with a cultural performance by EMUIS.

To conclude the day, attendees will take part in a guided campus tour of UIS, allowing new students to become familiar with the institution’s facilities and services.

Through this on-site induction, IPRED reaffirms its commitment to academic support and student integration from the very beginning of their educational process, strengthening their sense of belonging and university life.
