The Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) will extend a warm welcome this Thursday, January 29, to students admitted to its research-based master’s and doctoral programs for the first semester of 2026, during an institutional event that will mark the beginning of a new academic stage focused on scientific excellence and innovation.
The Office of Graduate Studies is leading this event, which will take place from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Luis Eduardo Lobo Auditorium of the School of Mechanical Engineering. There, new graduate students will learn firsthand about institutional guidelines, academic support services, and the research opportunities offered by UIS.
The induction day aims not only to facilitate adaptation to graduate-level university life, but also to strengthen a sense of belonging to an academic community committed to knowledge generation, problem-solving in the broader context, and social transformation through science and research.
Student participation in this program is essential, as it will help build academic networks, address questions, and lay the foundations for a rigorous educational process that will further consolidate UIS as a national and international benchmark in advanced education.
Through this welcome, the University reaffirms its commitment to training researchers capable of leading high-impact projects and contributing to the country’s scientific development.
