In order to strengthen its recognition and reflect its key role in university management processes, the Division of Information and Communication Technologies (DTIC) of the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) presents UISARD, the new identity of the information system that was operating under the name SIA (Academic and Administrative Information System).
The new name comes from the union of two ideas: UIS, as an institutional seal, and ARD, from wizard, symbolizing the system’s ability to transform data into efficient, secure and timely solutions.
This change does not imply a new system, but rather a transformation of its name and institutional image. The update includes a revamped graphic image, consisting of a central asterisk evoking a gear, symbolizing precision, industry and transformation, and an incorporated arrow, signaling efficiency, progress and clear direction.
UISARD continues to be the same system that connects students, faculty, administrators and alumni with the university’s academic and administrative services. What changes is the way it presents itself to the community: an identity designed for the present and prepared for the future.
