The Specialized Health Unit of the Industrial University of Santander (UISALUD) held the first workshop of the “De Todo Corazón” program for 2026, a gathering and learning event that brought together program participants and members at Casona La Perla on the UIS main campus. The event combined health education, exercise, nutrition, and hands-on activities with the clear goal of strengthening self-care and improving the quality of life for program participants.
The workshop agenda was designed to address health holistically. Dr. Lina Pradilla kicked off the event with a talk on musculoskeletal health, aimed at helping attendees recognize early warning signs and adopt postural and movement habits that prevent injuries in their daily lives. Her presentation allowed participants to address questions that often go unaddressed during a conventional medical appointment.

In addition, key information was provided on food nutrition labels, guiding participants on how to interpret them correctly to make better decisions about their daily diet.
The event also included a session of exercise and recreation, designed not only as an active break but also as a hands-on reminder that movement is medicine. Attendees were able to interact in a relaxed atmosphere, reinforcing the sense of community that defines the program.

UISALUD’s network of providers was represented by informational booths where members could learn firsthand about the available services, address their concerns, and strengthen their connection with the healthcare system that supports them. The event concluded on a special note: a live demonstration of a healthy recipe put into practice everything learned throughout the day and added a warm, interactive touch to the event.
“We had approximately 80 participants, who enjoyed this event designed for their well-being. On behalf of the organization, we extend a special thank you to all participants for their enthusiasm, as well as to the providers who supported the event and strengthened our connection with our user community. This first workshop marks the beginning of a series of gatherings aimed at continuing to promote self-care and the quality of life of our users,” said Silvia Rodríguez, lead nurse of the cardiovascular risk program.

The “De Todo Corazón” program is a clinical, educational, and emotional support initiative developed by UISALUD to accompany its patients beyond the doctor’s office. Through these workshops, the institution promotes adherence to medical treatments, encourages healthy lifestyles, and builds a long-term relationship with its members based on trust and self-care.
With this first workshop of the year, UISALUD reaffirms its commitment to a more humane, accessible, and preventive approach to healthcare, and announces that new editions of the program will be held throughout 2026, expanding its reach and strengthening ties with the communities it serves in the region.
