The Specialized Health Unit of the Industrial University of Santander, UISALUD, held its fourth Board of Directors meeting, under the leadership of Rector Hernán Porras Díaz and the direction of Santiago Ramírez Segura. During the meeting, key issues related to the unit’s performance in recent months were addressed, as well as the projection of its management within the framework of the new facilities recently delivered.
The meeting agenda included topics such as the UISALUD financial report, the implementation of new services and care areas, the ISO 9001 certification process, the adaptation of health procedures in the member web module, and the development of humanization workshops for staff.

In this regard, director Santiago Ramírez Segura highlighted the receptiveness and interest of the board members in the topics discussed and noted that the board’s assessment was highly positive. “Based on the comments made, the results presented, and the way the meeting was conducted, I believe it was a satisfactory meeting, very calm and with a context of information and projections for the future activities of the Health Unit,” he said.
For his part, Hernando Guerrero, representative of the professors on the UISALUD Board of Directors, emphasized the importance of the financial analysis carried out and the stable position of the entity in relation to the national health situation. “We remain in a good position from the point of view of the financial statements. Although the national outlook presents challenges, as it is a special regime, there will be no direct influence on UISALUD for the time being. However, we must remain alert to what may happen,” he said.

The faculty representative also highlighted improvements in infrastructure, such as the expansion of consultation rooms in the new Block A. He also invited users to make use not only of healthcare services, but also of the prevention and health promotion strategies offered by the Unit. “It is important to take advantage of spaces such as the Physical Fitness Center, the De Todo Corazón program, and other preventive strategies we have at UISALUD, so that they continue to serve our community,” he said.
In this way, UISALUD reaffirms its commitment to continuous improvement, quality in the services provided, and the consolidation of strategies that strengthen comprehensive, safe, and humanized care for the university community and their families.
