As part of its celebration of 64 years of service to the community, the Santander League Against Cancer held the “Liga al parque” event, an activity carried out in Antonia Santos Park that brought together various institutional and social partners.
The Listening Center of the Industrial University of Santander (UIS) actively participated in this event, contributing its experience in emotional support and psychological counseling to attendees. The initiative aimed to support, listen to, and generate processes of transformation, recovery, education, and care in the community.
María Patricia Sánchez, a psychological well-being professional at the Santander League Against Cancer, highlighted the importance of the partnership with the UIS: “We are grateful to our allies, the UIS Listening Center, which has been fundamental in allowing us to open up these spaces and listen to the community on issues of psychology and psychiatry.”
Through these joint actions, the League and the UIS Listening Center reaffirm their commitment to comprehensive health and the strengthening of the social fabric in Santander.
