The Industrial University of Santander (UIS) is ready to host the Sixth Edition of the National Sports, Cultural, and Recreational Games of the University Professors’ Union Association (ASPU), which will take place from October 9 to 12, 2025.
For the first time, Bucaramanga will be the venue for this important event, which will bring together 840 participants from 20 delegations from different public universities across the country. In total, 36 competitions will be held in 19 sports disciplines, in an atmosphere of integration, camaraderie, and well-being.
The official opening ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 9, at 5:00 p.m., at the UIS Coliseum, with a parade of delegations, a sports oath, and the lighting of the Olympic flame, as well as speeches by university officials and representatives of the union association.
The competitions will begin on Friday, October 10, at 7:00 a.m., at the UIS sports fields and the Olympic swimming pools at the Américo Montanini Departmental Stadium.
The closing ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, October 12, at 2:00 p.m., at Casona La Perla, where the official closing of this sporting and cultural event promoting unity among Colombian university professors will take place.
