The university community and the general public are called upon to join this solidarity initiative, which seeks to meet the urgent needs of vulnerable dogs and cats, through donations and temporary homes.
The ‘Donatón’ campaign, led by the Animal Welfare Line of the School of Law and Political Science of the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), is now in its decisive phase. This initiative calls on the community to provide support over the next 48 hours to animals in vulnerable conditions as a result of the winter wave in the department of Córdoba.
The last day will be February 23 and 24 at CEIBA, located at the UIS Main Campus, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In this final stretch, students, teachers, administrators, and the general public can contribute essential supplies that will be used for animal care, recovery, and protection.
Among the items being accepted are crates, beds, blankets, veterinary medicines, leashes, collars, and food and water bowls. These contributions will help meet the immediate needs of dogs and cats facing abandonment, illness, or lack of shelter in Córdoba.
Donations and temporary shelters, key factors in the final stretch
In addition to material donations, the campaign promotes the linking of temporary and adoptive homes as a fundamental action to guarantee safe spaces while recovery and responsible adoption processes are managed.
The organization reiterated that these last 48 hours are crucial to expanding the scope of aid and generating a significant impact on the lives of the animals benefiting from it. Those interested in supporting or receiving more information can call 3115826118.
With this donation drive, the UIS is fulfilling its institutional commitment to animal welfare and calling for collective solidarity to transform lives through concrete actions.
