Students from the University of La Guajira learned about sports development at UIS

A total of 37 eighth semester Physical Education students from the University of La Guajira and two professors visited the UIS central campus in order to share teaching and research experiences, learn about the academic programs and sports scenarios.

“Very pleased with the acceptance, grateful to the UIS for receiving us, it is important for the students to be contextualized and we are working to achieve many things for the University of La Guajira and the UIS is a great reference,” said Yainer Villa Pertuz, director of the program of the Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports at the University of La Guajira.

During the visit the Master’s Degree in Sports Talent Development offered by the Department of Physical Education and Sports UIS was also presented, so that young people would be interested in continuing their study with this postgraduate degree.

“We toured spaces focused for research and master’s degrees, I find it very cool because there are things I am getting to know, they have good spaces like the bicycle room, there are too many and it is important for dynamic exercise,” expressed Sharick Peralta Navas, a student of the University of La Guajira.

The Universidad de La Guajira is a public institution of higher education with almost 50 years of existence and is based in Riohacha.
