The Universidad Industrial de Santander respectfully informs the Arauca community of the following:
For the 2026-1 academic term, the Universidad Industrial de Santander will offer in Saravena the first level of the Zootechnics program, corresponding to the second cohort of the program in the territory, thus reaffirming the continuity and consolidation of this academic offering. In the previous call, the programs in Artificial Intelligence Engineering and Professional Technical Program in Agricultural Production did not fill all available seats.
Regarding the new programs initially planned to begin in 2026 (Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Languages with an emphasis in English, Veterinary Medicine, Food Engineering, and Construction Engineering), we inform you that, for the time being, it will not be possible to open them, as they are still undergoing the authorization process before the Ministry of National Education for their offering in Saravena. This process depends on the Ministry’s timelines and is beyond the institution’s control. Nevertheless, the University will maintain ongoing follow-up, and if approval is obtained in the coming days, an immediate action plan will be defined to allow their offering in the 2026-1 semester. Otherwise, these authorizations are expected to be granted during the first semester of 2026, which would allow these programs to be offered in the second semester of 2026. Once the registration process opens for these programs, the Artificial Intelligence Engineering and Professional Technical Program in Agricultural Production will also be included in order to complete the planned academic offering.
The Universidad Industrial de Santander appreciates the understanding and continued interest of the Saravena community. We reaffirm our commitment to quality, relevant, and responsibly built education, advancing steadily and in constant dialogue with the territory. We are confident that this process will continue to grow stronger through joint work and mutual trust.
