The Proinapsa UIS Institute, a PAHO/WHO Collaborating Center for Health Promotion and Sexual and Reproductive Health, invites the academic community, professionals in the health and education sectors, local government entities, and other interested stakeholders to participate in the webinar “Intersectoral Collaboration to Promote Health in Schools,” a forum for dialogue, learning, and the exchange of experiences that will take place on June 30, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. (Colombia time), online.
This event aims to strengthen collective reflection on the fundamental role of cross-sectoral coordination in promoting healthier, more equitable, and safer school environments, recognizing that health promotion requires the joint commitment of institutions, educational communities, and social actors.
During the event, guidance, perspectives, and experiences will be shared that demonstrate how collaborative work among the health and education sectors and other strategic partners can become a key tool for transforming school environments and promoting the holistic well-being of children, adolescents, and their communities.
In addition, the event will showcase best practices, lessons learned, achievements, and challenges arising from intersectoral initiatives that have contributed to capacity building, the creation of collaborative networks, and the development of healthier educational environments.
The Proinapsa UIS Institute continues to promote the management and dissemination of knowledge, fostering opportunities for people to come together to share insights, connect experiences, and move forward collectively toward building healthier communities.
