The Industrial University of Santander is currently accepting applications for Public Call for Faculty Positions 002-2026, through which it seeks to select and hire new tenured faculty members who will contribute to strengthening the institution’s core mission.
On this occasion, the University is offering 117 positions—92 full-time and 25 part-time—for professionals with a passion for teaching, research, innovation, and community engagement.
“The Industrial University of Santander has opened registration for the general faculty recruitment competition. We especially invite professionals with a strong commitment to teaching, research, and community engagement to join our university,” said Academic Vice Rector Olga Mercedes Álvarez Ojeda.
She emphasized that the call for applications includes specific measures to promote gender equity. “Nine of these positions are reserved exclusively for women, reaffirming the university’s commitment to gender equity and to strengthening women’s participation in academic life,” she stated.
The purpose of this process is to attract highly qualified talent who will contribute to the academic and scientific development of the UIS and to strengthening its relationship with society.
“The purpose of this call for applications is to recruit qualified professionals who are passionate about teaching, research, innovation, and community engagement to strengthen the university’s core mission and the educational plans and projects of its various departments, schools, and colleges,” said Álvarez Ojeda.
The selected professionals will join the institution beginning in the first semester of 2027, contributing to the educational processes, knowledge generation, and community engagement that characterize the university.
“Applications are open until July 30. The schedule can be found on the university’s website, along with details on each phase of the call for applications, the governing regulations, the requirements, and each step of the process,” explained the vice rector for academic affairs.
Finally, Álvarez Ojeda extended an invitation to professionals from Colombia and other countries to become part of the UIS academic community.
“We invite all professionals to join the Industrial University of Santander; we invite them to come to our university—not only from different regions of the country but also from around the world. It is worthwhile to join the UIS because it is a high-quality, accredited institution with a strong national and international presence, a strong commitment to service, and a strong regional focus,” she concluded.
