Estudiantes de semillero

The excellence in research of the Faculty of Health at the Industrial University of Santander has been recognized at the highest national level. The Cardiovascular Research Seedbed, linked to the Electrocardiography Research Group, won three national research awards in the area of health, within the framework of the XXVIII National Meeting of RedColSI Research Seedbeds.

This exceptional performance has earned them international recognition to represent Colombia at the International Meeting of Research Groups (EISI), to be held in June 2026 in Turin, Italy.

The award-winning works stand out for their scientific rigor in the area of cardiovascular health. They are:

Arrhythmias and drugs: a systematic review of drugs that cause QT interval variations and their relationship to arrhythmias such as Torsades de Pointes. Authors: Laura Valentina Arciniegas, and professors Diego Rincón and Oscar Leonel Rueda Ochoa.

Accumulated blood pressure: study on its association with the development of major cardiovascular events. Authors: Jhoan Fernando Muñoz, Simón Rincón, and Professor Oscar Leonel Rueda Ochoa.

Systolic blood pressure treatment: analysis of intensive vs. standard treatment and its outcomes in MACE events. Authors: Yulieth Catalina Mayorga, Jorge Alejandro Laguna, and Professor Oscar Leonel Rueda Ochoa.
