
The Universidad Industrial de Santander will host a new edition of the forum organized by the Ministry of Mines and Energy, titled “Dialogues for a Just Energy Transition in the Territories: Access to Information, Participation, and Governance with RedTEJ, Intégrame, the Statistical Data Infrastructure, SICOM, and Escuela TEJ.”
The event will take place on wednesday, October 8, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., in the Aula Máxima de Ingeniería Mecánica «Luis Eduardo Lobo Carvajalino» at the Campus Central UIS. It is convened by the Ministry’s Citizen Engagement Group, ICT Group, OPGI, and Hydrocarbons Directorate, with the purpose of “creating a space for dialogue, training, and reflection on the Just Energy Transition, focused on open access to information, citizen participation, and the strengthening of territorial capacities.”

The event is aimed at “strategic actors of the RedTEJ and stakeholders involved in energy transition processes in Colombia: social and territorial organizations, students, faculty members, researchers, public officials, and technical teams from the mining and energy sector.” Its objectives include: Strengthening knowledge management on the Just Energy Transition (TEJ), Promoting the use and adoption of the Sectoral Statistical Data Infrastructure and the SICOM platform, Gathering qualitative inputs on perceptions, barriers, and proposals for the participatory implementation of the TEJ.
The forum will be developed through two sessions:
Session 1: Training and Critical Appropriation.
This session will establish a shared framework of understanding about the Just Energy Transition, its territorial implications, and the role of citizens, among other aspects.

Session 2: Participatory Diagnosis
This session will focus on collecting qualitative information through a structured focus group and simultaneous thematic roundtables.
According to the Ministry of Mines and Energy, the outcomes of the forum will include a “consolidated report of the event, systematization of lessons learned and proposals, and inputs for planning future actions of RedTEJ and Intégrame.”
