Students to Elect Representatives to the Consejo de las Facultades de Ciencias Humanas y de Salud

Registration will remain open until Friday, September 18, at 4:00 p.m. for students interested in running for election as representatives to the Consejo de las Facultades de Ciencias Humanas y de Salud para el periodo 2026 – 2028

It should be noted that, in order to be a candidate, in accordance with Article 51, paragraph e, of the University’s General Statute, applicants must meet the following requirements:

a) Have a valid enrollment in one of the undergraduate or graduate programs offered by the respective Faculty.

b) Be a regular student.

c) Have completed at least thirty percent (30%) of the credits of the academic program in which they are enrolled.

d) Have no type of conditional enrollment or academic status.

The Secretaría General UIS stated that interested students may register by sending an email, preferably from the applicant’s institutional email account, to sgeneral@uis.edu.co the message must state the applicant’s free and informed intention to register as a candidate and include a 3 x 4 cm color photograph.

On Tuesday, September 22, the Secretaría General will confirm to the respective Faculty whether the applicants meet the requirements. Subsequently, on Wednesday, September 30, the candidates’ forum will be held according to the schedule established by the Councils of the aforementioned Faculties.

It should be noted that, through Resolution No. 1246 of 2026, these election processes were officially called. The elections will be held online on Friday, October 9, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. At approximately 4:06 p.m., once the results have been counted, an official record will be issued announcing who has been elected as the student representative to the Consejo de las Facultades de Ciencias Humanas y de Salud.
